Mr. Ordway has appeared before and negotiated with numerous government agency offices, including several of the regional offices of the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. In addition to frequent work with environmental agencies, Mr. Ordway has also represented clients in other regulatory compliance matters.

History
Mr. Ordway's recreational interests include following the exploits of his three adult children, rowing for fun, health and competition, and writing on rowing. His most recent rowing publication, "Row Daily, Breathe Deeper, Live Better," is carried by BarnesandNoble.com, USRowing, and purveyors of fine rowing gear.
Recognitions
Mr. Ordway has served in a leadership capacity in the ABA's environmental section (multi-year vice-chair of the dispute resolution committee), the State Bar of Michigan's environmental section (Council member and chair of the membership committee) and the Grand Rapids Bar Association (past president of environmental and ADR sections). He has also organized and participated in numerous presentations to bar association and business meetings on a diverse range of topics.
Awards
After graduating cum laude in 1981 as a fourth generation graduate of the University of Michigan law school, and engaging in a two-year post-doctoral fellowship studying law and public policy, Mr. Ordway worked as a litigator in New York City for several years. While there, when much of the framework of state and federal environmental regulation was still being put into place, Mr. Ordway began to specialize in environmental practice with the firm of Beveridge & Diamond. He continues that specialty today, 25 years later. Based in Michigan since 1988, he has taken a leadership role in cases not only in Michigan but also in Illinois, Ohio, Texas and other jurisdictions.
Mr. Ordway is admitted in Michigan and New York, as well as the federal courts in Illinois, Ohio and Texas.
